Independent candidate for Mayor, Vyas Municipality
Contested the mayoral election of Vyas Municipality, Tanahun, as an independent candidate in the local elections held on 30 Baisakh 2079 (13 May 2022). The seat was won by Baikuntha Nath Neupane of the Nepali Congress. Reported result:
High Court orders a recount in Vyas
Following a petition filed after the 2022 mayoral count, the High Court in Pokhara ordered a recount of the Vyas Municipality mayoral ballots in May 2024 — two years after the election. The case was pursued as a question of electoral accountability rather than of personal outcome.
Civic engagement in Tanahun
Continued work on local questions in Vyas and the wider district — public accountability, local infrastructure and service delivery, education, and community media, including engagement with Radio Rodhi and other Gandaki-region outlets.
Independent candidate, House of Representatives — Tanahun-1
Stood as an independent candidate for the House of Representatives from Tanahun Constituency No. 1 in the general election held on 21 Falgun 2082 (March 2026), one of sixteen candidates in the constituency. The seat was won by Swarnim Wagle of the Rastriya Swatantra Party.
