Portrait of Deepak Raj Joshi
Introduction

A public life built around ideas, not personality

Deepak Raj Joshi is a telecommunication engineer by profession and Managing Director of New Millennium College. He spent roughly seventeen years in the United States before returning permanently to Nepal, and came to public life through education, writing and civic engagement in his own district rather than through party machinery.

He has written a regular column for New Spotlight Magazine since 2018 on democracy, governance, society, technology and ethics. He is vegan, practises minimalism, and runs Nepal’s first vegan online news portal.
